Kathy shares how working at APHW has been “far better than the last”
They say each new organization brings its own environment. In the seven years (and counting) that August Employee of the Month Kathy has been a part of America’s Preferred Home Warranty (APHW), she continues to experience how working here has been different – for the better.
Supported into greatness
After hearing good things about APHW from her colleague, Barb, Kathy made the switch and quickly found out this organization to be a place of support. “It’s not like you’re just out there,” she stated, adding, “This place has guidance, and the company is good for that.”
Kathy’s hard work and calm demeanor combined with APHW’s framework of support elevated her into a recent promotion and recognition as our latest Employee of the Month!
Not knowing about the recognition, as she was “in the middle of a busy day”, Kathy expressed how shocked she was when she heard the news from her colleague, Michelle. “I had no idea! I’m very happy,” she exclaimed.
The grass is greener
Since her first days at APHW, Kathy saw how company culture here is, “very good. The training was great, and there has always been someone you could ask for help,” she shared. Regarding her role and coworkers, Kathy stated, “If you like your job, it’s not really work. I like this job, and I love the people I work with; it makes for a nice work environment.”
So, with everything at work going swimmingly, what advice would Kathy give her younger self, or anyone ready to embark on a new chapter? She explains, “With a good work ethic, you can put your best foot forward.”
