ISR Loves Working For APHW

What would you say if someone suggested a job opening at an outbound call center? Chances are pretty likely you’d make a face and look for something else to do. But if you did, you’d miss out on the opportunity to love what you do, according to a current employee at America’s Preferred Home Warranty (APHW).

“I’m loving every minute of it!” exclaimed Tracey, an Inside Sales Representative (ISR) for the Direct to Consumer (DTC) Department, which largely handles outbound calls for warranty sales and renewals. “I love the people I work with. I love what I do. I don’t drag coming in—I look forward to it—and I couldn’t ask for a better boss,” she said. “There’s never a dull moment here, that’s for sure!”

Tracey was referred to APHW through a friend and started on the job as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) with the Customer Service Department in 2015, processing claims and helping customers and agents alike by phone and e-mail. When the opportunity to advance to DTC came up in 2017, she jumped in right away. Tracey is in it for the long haul, and definitely sees working for APHW as a career. “You really have to enjoy what you do,” she remarked. “Otherwise, why come in?”

APHW will hold a Job Fair this coming Thursday, March 1st, from 9 a.m. to Noon, and then again from 1 to 4 p.m. Qualified CSR and ISR applicants are encouraged to attend.

“We’re a fast-growing company,” said Jason Livingston, DTC Manager for APHW, “But we still have that family-oriented feel with it. Regardless of who you talk to, we all know each other by name and work as a cohesive unit to achieve the end result.”

Jason is looking to add two new members to his DTC team, and hopes to find someone who will merge well with his existing crew. “My team is a group of very strong personalities,” he said. “They’re always willing to push the limits. We need someone who’s not afraid of hearing ‘no,’ and is willing to hold a conversation with someone.” Jason also noted that folks who apply for DTC should have strong abilities in generating and closing sales.

Applicants will find there are 12 CSR positions available as well, for inbound calls. Qualified applicants for either department will have the opportunity for one-on-one interviews at the Job Fair.

Tracey had one more thing to add about working at APHW. “Randy (President, APHW) is a phenomenal person to work for,” she said. “I feel like he’s concerned about the little guys in the company. You can feel that when he talks to you and in everything he does. I feel appreciated here, and that’s important.”
