There are times when you just need to be able to trust someone. In the case of Susan Biasella-Hohs out of Northfield, Ohio, she knew exactly which plumber she could trust to take care of a house she rents to her son, his wife and their two boys. The only question was, would her America’s Preferred Home Warranty (APHW) work with him?
The answer was a resounding yes. “We could call our own contractor, which I’ve used for 20 years,” Susan said, adding that not only did the plumber do the job, but had worked with APHW warranties many times before. “It’s just nice to be able to use somebody that you have trust in, and you don’t have to have a stranger come into your house.”
Susan thought the claim process might prove to be awkward at first, because while her name was on the contract, her son and his wife had called it in. As it turned out, she was able to quickly and easily authorize them on her account, and she actually praised how far customer service went to ensure she was satisfied.
“They were responsive to my son, and even though I’m not the one who called the repair in, they called me at my house to ask if everything was okay,” she said. “It’s like a personal touch, that they cared enough to say everything is going okay with my rental property.”
The company’s sincere interest in her approval extended further when she received another call from APHW, asking if she would like to elaborate on the glowing review she’d written on Google. “Just the fact that they noticed the review and thanked me for reviewing—that’s really nice too!” she said. “Not everybody does that these days. It seems to be a really personal touch with America’s Preferred Home Warranty.”
